Moving from iThoughts

Thoughtline does not open iThoughts' own .itmz files yet. It does open OPML and FreeMind (.mm), which iThoughts can export, so your maps can come across today.

How to move a map

1. In iThoughts, export the map as OPML — or as FreeMind (.mm) if you want folded branches kept.
2. Save the file somewhere your phone can reach.
3. In Thoughtline, open My Maps → ⋮ → Import a file and pick it.
4. Check the preview, which lists anything left behind, then tap Import.

Which export to choose

• OPML keeps topics, notes and checked items.
• FreeMind keeps topics, notes and folded branches.
• Neither carries icons, colours or links between topics into Thoughtline.
