Common questions

Where are my maps stored?

On your device only. There is no account and no cloud copy. Settings → Your maps → Back them up writes all of them to one file you can keep.

I changed phones. How do I bring my maps?

On the old phone, Settings → Back them up, and save the file somewhere you can reach. On the new phone, My Maps → ⋮ → Import and pick it.

Can I move maps from SimpleMind?

Yes. Import a .smmx file and Thoughtline rebuilds the topics, notes and positions. The preview tells you honestly what did not come across — usually icons and styling — before you commit.

I bought Pro on Android. Does that unlock the iPhone app?

No, and we say so before you pay. The two stores cannot share a purchase. Within one store, one purchase covers every device on that account.

Why is there no subscription?

Because we do not want one. Thoughtline Pro is a single payment that covers every version through 3.x.

Something is broken

Tell us what you did and what happened, and attach a screenshot if you can. If a map is behaving oddly, Settings → Back them up first — we would rather you had a copy before we start debugging.
