No. There is no monthly price, no yearly price and no trial that runs out. Pro is a single in-app purchase that covers every future version through 3.x. There is nothing to cancel.

Will something free become Pro later?

No. A feature that is free today stays free. New Pro features may be added; nothing moves from the free list to the Pro list.

Does one purchase cover all my devices?

Within one store, yes: Pro on Google Play covers every Android phone and tablet on that Google account, and Pro on the App Store covers your iPhone and iPad on the same Apple Account, with Family Sharing. The two stores cannot share a purchase, so the iPhone and Android apps are bought separately. We would rather say that plainly than imply otherwise.

Are there ads, or an account?

Neither. There are no ads, ever, and no account to make. Your maps stay on your device — see the privacy policy.
